Trenchless Technology

Tier One have been making advances in Trenchless Technology, during a busy period of infrastructure growth in the Wellington Region. Thus making us one of the few organisations that are able to offer these specialised services that our clients require.

We have a mindset to undertake difficult projects and engineer them to work through assistance in design, preparation, installation and reinstatement.

Horizontal Drilling:

Grundomat:

The Grundomat horizontal boring tool serves as a complement in the trenchless technology field, and in many situations is an economical alternative to, larger, more expensive directional drilling equipment.

Tier One can perform accurate horizontal bores from 2m to 20m  in length, in a wide variety of Soil conditions.
We are capable of installing pipe sizes from as small as 6mm fibre conduit to 100mm PVC conduit.

Water, gas, sewer and electrical industries have all benefited from this type of trenchless technology

Due to the small size of tooling we are able to minimise the disruption of existing surface areas (Ideal for under Concrete, Asphalt and Trees)

Earthworks

Tier 1 are specialists in Excavation and Earthworks in the Wellington region. We offer services for Commercial and Residential earthworks including:

Trenching

Tier 1 Specialise in underground network installation ranging from Power, Gas, Telcom water and drainage. We are fully compliant with Council Regulations ranging from Traffic Management to reinstatement. We have become a one stop shop for all your Utility Service requirements. Our workers understand and follow a strict Health and Safety culture which make Tier 1 a great asset for anyone that requires a no headache install.

All our digger drivers are highly skilled licenced operators that are trained and experienced in operation and safety

Cable Locating

We offer a comprehensive asset location service for any size project in the Lower North Island.
We offer:

• Markouts from plans
• EMI (Electro Magnetic Locating)
